I had the chance to go over to my brother, David's house with my other brother John. David decided to start remodeling their bathroom and so John went over to help and I just went over to observe and visit. This was my first time being able to watch someone remodel something in person other than the TV. I just stood and watched b/c I love watching that kind of stuff. I would be terrified to do something like that in my house but it will be fun to see how it turns out when it's all done.
I also got to visit my friend, Jennifer, for a few hours. She is my friend that I have had for the longest time. We met when I was 5 and have kept in contact with each other over the past 20 years. She lived two houses down from me growing up and then she ended up moving to Louisiana when I was in 4th grade. So we met up almost every summer until she moved back to Houston half way through her high school year. She went to my high school but moved into a different neighborhood. Then my family moved into the same neighborhood less than a year later. We got married the same year and moved into a house the same year. Pretty crazy and I'm sure that she is going to be one of those friends that I will have forever.
After I got home from Houston, I got to spend 4 days with Daniel and then I headed off to Kansas City. My parents drove up on Thursday afternoon with a budget truck and dropped off their old television. They gave it to us since they won't be taking it to their new house. Then, Friday morning we woke up at 4am and Daniel dropped off me, my parents and John at the airport to fly to Kansas City. We were all planning on going to a Mitchel family reunion which is my mom's side of the family.

When we got to Kansas City, we went straight to my Uncle Bill's house. We picked him up and ate at a really good breakfast restaurant. It was 11am in the morning and it seemed like 6pm because we had gotten up so early that morning and had done so much by then. I knew that this was going to be a very long day. Luckily we just stayed at the house and visited the rest of the day.
Saturday we headed out to this really famous barbecue restaurant called Arthur Bryant's BBQ. It was good but I don't think anything will ever beat J Cody's in College Station. We also did a little bit of shopping and drove by some huge houses. I got a new black purse finally after years of saying that I need one.
Sunday is when the family reunion was since that is when everyone else met up with us at my Uncle's house. My two cousins came with their families and my other uncle. We basically just hung out, ate and visited with each other. It was nice being able to see everyone b/c it's been years really since I had seen any of them. Later that day, someone had wanted to see the wii fit and asked if I would demonstrate some of the games. So I did and decided to play on my cousin, Tyler's mii. I noticed that he hadn't played very much and what he had played...well lets just say that he wasn't very good. His scores were not the highest. So I got on and played soccer under his mii. I erased his score of 17 pts. by playing 10 times and scoring anywhere from 200-400 pts. So the next time that he gets on, he will have to score at least 200 in order to rank. Well we found out that he was coming home to get a book he left and so we asked him if he would show us how to play some of the wii games. We asked to see the soccer and I think he got a score of 20 and didn't ever realize that I had played under his name. So we asked him how the other scores got there and his answer was that was the computer scores. Needless to say, we all got a good laugh out of that.

I decided to stay at my Uncle Bill and Aunt Rosemary's house instead of a hotel like the rest of my family and I am so glad that I stayed with them. I haven't ever been able to have some alone with them and I really enjoyed staying up till midnight talking.
