Welcome

We set up our adoption blog so you can get to know our family a little better. I started blogging back in 2007 and have kept up with it over the years. At the end of every year, we print off our blog for that year and give it to Daniel's mom for her Christmas present. She keeps all of her children's yearly journals in a notebook that we will get back one day to pass down to our kids. I try to keep it up to date as much as I can.

When we decided to start the adoption process, I decided to make an identical blog for birth mothers to read. Everything that I write about my family on our personal blog, I copy it over to my adoption blog. I understand that an adoption profile only gives limited information about us and we want you to have the opportunity to really get to know who we are and what we like to do as a family. Our adoption blog will show you who we were even before we adopted our boys. Feel free to read as much as you want or click on the links up above!

They are all BOY!

We had some friends invite us over to their house after church yesterday to play with their ducks and eat lunch. When we got there, we went straight to the backyard so Carter and Talon could see the ducks.

Both boys were very brave and fed them right out of their hands.

They also had fun chasing and following them around the yard.
They found a muddy area and decided that was more fun.
They had so much fun playing in the mud and filling up containers to dump on themselves. Then they were run and dive into the mud. It was quite a sight!

They got so DIRTY! I should have taken a picture of what they looked like afterwards. Talon white shirt ended up brown! When we were leaving the house, I thought that maybe I should grab a change of clothes but then thought that they wouldn't get that dirty eating. I didn't know that they were going to be playing in the mud! Our friends were just loving it. They only have a girl so they love boys because they are just so different than what they are used to. Our boys had so much fun and that is all that matters to us!
So we hosed them off and put on new diapers. They went the rest of the time half naked while we were at their house.
Carter really loved the guitar. He looks like he knows exactly what he is doing.
