Welcome

We set up our adoption blog so you can get to know our family a little better. I started blogging back in 2007 and have kept up with it over the years. At the end of every year, we print off our blog for that year and give it to Daniel's mom for her Christmas present. She keeps all of her children's yearly journals in a notebook that we will get back one day to pass down to our kids. I try to keep it up to date as much as I can.

When we decided to start the adoption process, I decided to make an identical blog for birth mothers to read. Everything that I write about my family on our personal blog, I copy it over to my adoption blog. I understand that an adoption profile only gives limited information about us and we want you to have the opportunity to really get to know who we are and what we like to do as a family. Our adoption blog will show you who we were even before we adopted our boys. Feel free to read as much as you want or click on the links up above!

Talon's Birthday

Talon's birthday was this past Sunday. We went to church in the morning and then came home for naps. After they woke up, we went over to the YMCA for a little swimming. The YMCA was having a little swimming party for my friend Heather and she invited us. The boys had a blast playing with Heather's daughters in the pool. They love my boys and my boys love playing with them too.
When we got home we celebrated with cake. Talon was scared of the fire at first.
 Now he's happy (:
 Oh now he's not!
 Blowing out the candles!
He knows he is getting ready to get a piece of cake.
He actually didn't get that messy and he ate his entire slice.
Now it's present time! He got a doll (which Daniel I have no problems giving our boys a doll as long as he isn't wearing a pink dress), Mrs. Potato and Mr. Potato heads, and lots of Thomas the Trains because that is their new obsessions. These were all for Talon but one train but of course they share all their toys at this age.

Daniel wasn't opening up one of the trains fast enough here!

They have magnets on the ends so you can connect them together.

Talon LOVES babies. Every time he sees one anyone he has to point them out to us and go look at the baby. We know our boys will end up make great big brothers one day (:
