Welcome

We set up our adoption blog so you can get to know our family a little better. I started blogging back in 2007 and have kept up with it over the years. At the end of every year, we print off our blog for that year and give it to Daniel's mom for her Christmas present. She keeps all of her children's yearly journals in a notebook that we will get back one day to pass down to our kids. I try to keep it up to date as much as I can.

When we decided to start the adoption process, I decided to make an identical blog for birth mothers to read. Everything that I write about my family on our personal blog, I copy it over to my adoption blog. I understand that an adoption profile only gives limited information about us and we want you to have the opportunity to really get to know who we are and what we like to do as a family. Our adoption blog will show you who we were even before we adopted our boys. Feel free to read as much as you want or click on the links up above!

Christmas and of course presents

For Christmas, Daniel and I went up to Oklahoma to visit his family. It was fun to be able to see everyone because it only happens once a year. Since Daniel's parents have a wii, we spend the majority of our time playing wii sports and a few other games. I'm not too good at any of the sports really expect for bowling. I am now considered pro and have a record score of 258 which I am very proud of. It also snowed several time while we were there which was absoluetly beautiful. Unfortunately, Daniel, his sister and me all came down with a really bad cold. Thankfully I didn't get it until the day that we were leaving but it was a very miserable ride home. So that was weeks ago and I still wake up with a stuffy nose but it gets better throughout the day. One of the items that I got for Christmas from Daniel's parents was a sewing machine, which I have wanted for a while now. I'm not really good at sewing but I'm not completely new to it because I took a year and a half of a sewing class in junior high. Of course that was like 10+ years ago. So right now I'm starting off new and just making some baby blankets. (and no I'm not pregnant but they are fun to make and so soft) Daniel and I also got two big skillets for Christmas and we love them. So far all we have made are cookies (not a big surprise) and they taste so good.
