Welcome
We set up our adoption blog so you can get to know our family a little better. I started blogging back in 2007 and have kept up with it over the years. At the end of every year, we print off our blog for that year and give it to Daniel's mom for her Christmas present. She keeps all of her children's yearly journals in a notebook that we will get back one day to pass down to our kids. I try to keep it up to date as much as I can.
When we decided to start the adoption process, I decided to make an identical blog for birth mothers to read. Everything that I write about my family on our personal blog, I copy it over to my adoption blog. I understand that an adoption profile only gives limited information about us and we want you to have the opportunity to really get to know who we are and what we like to do as a family. Our adoption blog will show you who we were even before we adopted our boys. Feel free to read as much as you want or click on the links up above!

Time for an update!
Deanna and I were also looking for a cheap wedding band to go with our wedding rings. I want one because that way if I ever go out of town, I don't have to wear my expensive ring and take a chance on losing it. So we learned to never try to get a ring from one of those jewelry place set up in the middle of the mall. Deanna and I told the lady what we wanted and we could see that she didn't have anything at all that resembled what we wanted after a few minutes of looking but she would not give up. She just kept telling us to hold on and she couldn't understand what we wanted. You would think she would understand what a diamond wedding band looks like because she works in a jewelry store and she's a female. Finally after about ten minutes, we just said we had to go and basically walked away.
Late on Saturday night, we started hearing a loud truck behind our house. Well first let me explain. Daniel and I live in a new neighborhood and they are still building. We don't have many houses around us yet. And behind our house, they just put in a natural gas pipeline and so there is a big dirt path behind our house. Well I guess some guys thought it would be fun to go off road driving at 1am in the morning. There was no way I was going to be able to sleep with that loud truck driving back and forth right behind our house. So Daniel and I got up, grabbed a really bright flashlight and went out to the backyard. We got up on the fence and started flashing our light at him. Then he would turn on his brights because he thought we were trying to get his licence plate number. Well it didn't take long for him to decide to leave. We will see if he returns this next weekend. (pictures to come....Deanna took some with her camera of us trying to scare away the guy)
Sunday morning comes and the phone rings. The Bishop wants me to come in and talk with him before church but I couldn't do that because we had to take Deanna to the airport. So the Bishop calls me directly and releases me over the phone from 1st counselor in Young Womens. I am definitely going to miss my girls and women I worked with. I'm going to try to stay in touch with everyone and at least I will still see all of them every Sunday. It was by far the best calling I've had in the church. I will have to say that I wasn't in shock because I knew it was coming...well at least I knew they were going to be reorganizing the Young Womens presidency. So right now, I have no calling since they can't call me to anything over the phone. So when Sacrament rolls around, they reorganized the entire Young Womens, Primary and Relief Society presidencies. I didn't think the Bishop was ever going to stop calling names.
Thank you Deanna for coming to visit us. We had so much fun with you and we absolutely have to do it again soon.
