According to Laura I can officially call myself a nerd now. I guess I have been incorrectly labeling myself a nerd for the past 10-20 something years. Why am I now truly an official nerd? Well, I solved my Christmas present. I asked for a Rubik's cube or something to do at work when I need a few minutes break here and there.
Well, I found out rather quickly how frustrating it really could be, so I haven't taken it to work yet. I'd manage to get a decent portion done in an evening at the dinner table, but inevitably, either Laura would want a turn or I would get frustrated and try something stupid and move things back to square one, complete chaos. Anyway, there is a big benefit to having church at 8:30am now instead of 1:30 like it used to be. I have all day to do stuff. Here's the fruits of my work. It took me about an hour or so.
While I was digging the whole "my-sundays-aren't-over-by-the-time-I-get-home-from-church" mood, Laura and I went ahead and put in some more lights in our front yard. It wasn't as nice of weather as yesterday (in the 30-40's today and I was in shorts yesterday) but I'm guessing it will be nicer than tomorrow. Here's the end result of the work on our humble abode.
