Welcome
We set up our adoption blog so you can get to know our family a little better. I started blogging back in 2007 and have kept up with it over the years. At the end of every year, we print off our blog for that year and give it to Daniel's mom for her Christmas present. She keeps all of her children's yearly journals in a notebook that we will get back one day to pass down to our kids. I try to keep it up to date as much as I can.
When we decided to start the adoption process, I decided to make an identical blog for birth mothers to read. Everything that I write about my family on our personal blog, I copy it over to my adoption blog. I understand that an adoption profile only gives limited information about us and we want you to have the opportunity to really get to know who we are and what we like to do as a family. Our adoption blog will show you who we were even before we adopted our boys. Feel free to read as much as you want or click on the links up above!

Sweet Deal...
After A&M's nice thumping of Texas Tech, we figured it might be fun to go to a football game. We checked out the price of tickets for the A&M-Iowa State game and figured it would be a little more expensive that we wanted, but we could swing it. Tickets were anywhere from $34 for the highest nosebleed seat to several hundred dollars for the nicest seat. For a decent seat we were looking at anywhere around $50 to $80 a seat from official dealers.
I got on Ebay and found a listing that was classified incorrectly so we ended up scoring 2 tickets, on the first deck, 35 yard line, for $44. Let me clarify. That is $44 for BOTH tickets! At $22 a ticket, that's not a whole lot more than going to see two movies.
So needless to say, Laura and I are excited to go back to College Station and have a fun day in the city where we met. We plan on eating at J Cody's before the game so Laura can get her corn that she loves. Then I wanted to do my post-game ritual and go to Swensen's for an icecream float or sundae. Unfortunately, I just found out they are no longer in business. I guess we will have to think of some other place to go. Any Aggies reading this, feel free to give me a new suggestion for an after-the-game meal.
Both Laura and I have been wanting to go to an Aggie game for some time. Now that they might have a chance of winning a game, we sure are excited.
Oh yeah, it is Halloween as well, so we are sure to see some funny costumes at the game. It should be a great time. Enough to put a smile on anyone's face!
