Welcome

We set up our adoption blog so you can get to know our family a little better. I started blogging back in 2007 and have kept up with it over the years. At the end of every year, we print off our blog for that year and give it to Daniel's mom for her Christmas present. She keeps all of her children's yearly journals in a notebook that we will get back one day to pass down to our kids. I try to keep it up to date as much as I can.

When we decided to start the adoption process, I decided to make an identical blog for birth mothers to read. Everything that I write about my family on our personal blog, I copy it over to my adoption blog. I understand that an adoption profile only gives limited information about us and we want you to have the opportunity to really get to know who we are and what we like to do as a family. Our adoption blog will show you who we were even before we adopted our boys. Feel free to read as much as you want or click on the links up above!

A much needed update

Our boys are growing up so fast!

Carter is now crawling everywhere and chewing on our furniture (Daniel calls him Beethoven because of the chewing, blowing raspberries, and he slobbers all over the place). He can now pull himself up to a stand up position and walk as long as he is holding onto the couch. Today he actually went from one couch to the other one while walking (our couches are in a L shape and separated by about a foot. It won't be too much longer till he'll be walking. He has also learned to wave to people....it is so cute although I don't think he knows he is waving. He now has his two bottom teeth as of about a week ago. He is learning new things everyday and it is so fun. Carter's hair has grown a lot over the last month and now he looks like a mad scientist if we don't style it.

Talon now has three teeth. Two on the bottom and one on the top. The top one just broke through today. He is getting very big. He is only about a pound lighter than Carter and is a half an inch taller than him now. He sings and squeals all the time. He makes goofy faces all the time especially when a light is in his face like a camera flash. He loves to smile at strangers and he giggles all the time at nothing. He is great at eating and loves his highchair. I think he could sit in it for hours and be perfectly content. He's discovered toys and loves to play with them now. He always has his hands clasped together or in his face.

Talon eating solids for the first time. He did amazing!

So stinking cute...

and so is Carter!

He has the biggest smiles that just melt our hearts

He greeted me this way when I went to get him this morning. We are glad we lowered his crib a few weeks ago.

Me and Carter

Talon is a happy boy again (wasn't too happy this past week with a bad cold and getting his third tooth -top left tooth).

Love this picture of him. He is so handsome!

Talon can sit up now on his own.

Look how tall and strong he is now!

Talon loves to clasp his hands together.
