Daniel has been wanting one of these backpack carriers and he finally bought one. He decided to try it out and put the baby bjorn on too.

We drove up on Wednesday morning and just hung out at the house with everyone after we got there. Our boys loved playing on the piano.

Carter and Talon playing with their second cousin, Camryn. She was so adorable. There were 3 cousins younger than our boys there (last year they were the youngest). Not only did we have all their cousins on Daniel's side there but we also had an additional 6 second cousins. They always celebrate Thanksgiving with us since they all live in Texas.

The kids table

The adult's table. Everyone helps out in the kitchen since we have so much food to prepare. At the end of dinner, we all go around and say two things that we are thankful for. Then we play a number game to see who has to do the dishes! I ended up this year with the dishes although everyone ends up helping out.

After dinner, we had a pinewood derby race. Everyone brought their derby cars, including the children, and we all raced each other.

Talon walking around in his Nana's vest.

I LOVE this swing! I got to play in this swing earlier in the day with Daniel and his cousin, Garner, who is 6'8" and was swinging higher than him with his arms stretched up. We decided to try the boys in it (of course we didn't swing them near as high) and they both loved it. Carter was laughing his head off the entire time.

Carter found a stick to play with in Nana and Papa Bob's backyard.

Talon playing with his Aunt Laura. Talon loves to be held and would just walk around with his arms up in the air for someone to pick him up. Of course with so many adults, he was always in someone's arms.
The boys found a new toy and were loving pushing each other.
Later that night, we had a talent show that was put on by all the kids.
Our kid's talent was to show how they can do frontward rolls. Carter got shy but Talon did several for everyone. Of course me who was in gymnastics and cheerleading for 9 years was very proud of my boys;)
All of their cousins loved hanging out with them.
Daniel and I did a little bit of black Friday shopping. We headed over to Office Max and picked up a new chair for Daniel at work (his isn't very comfortable and he's been wanting a new one) and a wireless key board and mouse. I'm super excited about that because our boys love to play with wires and love to type on the keyboard. Now I can turn it off and not have to worry about them messing up anything.
On Friday, we had a pinata for all the kids. Daniel was in charge of the pinata and the kids loved it. Papa Bob had to end up breaking it for them because none of the kids could break it.
Talon taking a nap in a funny position.
Later that day, we headed on a nature hike. We went last year too and decided to go back since everyone had fun the year before.
Love his face....he enjoyed every minute of the hike.
So sweet!
After our hike, we headed over to Pops! We go there almost every time we are in Oklahoma. They have hundreds of different soda pops to choose from. My favorite is the butterscotch root beer....it is delicious!
On Friday night, we celebrated Christmas with all the cousins.
Our boys got lots of new toys from all their cousins, Nana, and Papa Bob.
We spent Saturday making gingerbread houses. This is something we do every year.
This is my gingerbread house.
We ended up making around 20 gingerbread houses.
Later that day, I went to Old Navy with a few girls. We all had a groupon and had such a fun time shopping with each other. I can't remember the last time I went shopping with out my kids and so it was nice to be able to take my time and try on clothes. I picked up some Christmas pajamas for myself, a jacket and some Christmas PJ's for Carter and Talon.
On Saturday evening, Nana and Papa Bob watched all the kids so the parents could go have a relaxing evening with each other. We went to BJ's, my favorite restaurant, and had a great time. This is the only time in the year that we get to hang out with our brothers, sisters and cousins with out the little ones and so it is always very enjoyable.
We headed home on Sunday morning and the boys slept the entire 3 hours. Daniel's brother, wife and son, Aiden, stopped by our house to stay the night so that they didn't have to drive 7 hours straight and get stuck in traffic. We enjoyed having them over like we do every year.
We had such a fun time and I can't wait for next Thanksgiving!
