Welcome

We set up our adoption blog so you can get to know our family a little better. I started blogging back in 2007 and have kept up with it over the years. At the end of every year, we print off our blog for that year and give it to Daniel's mom for her Christmas present. She keeps all of her children's yearly journals in a notebook that we will get back one day to pass down to our kids. I try to keep it up to date as much as I can.

When we decided to start the adoption process, I decided to make an identical blog for birth mothers to read. Everything that I write about my family on our personal blog, I copy it over to my adoption blog. I understand that an adoption profile only gives limited information about us and we want you to have the opportunity to really get to know who we are and what we like to do as a family. Our adoption blog will show you who we were even before we adopted our boys. Feel free to read as much as you want or click on the links up above!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was so fun this year. Since Daniel's parents were in Cancun, all of Daniel's siblings decided to get together at his cousin's house. My parents live close by and so Daniel and I stayed with them along with Laura (Daniel's sister) and her family. We drove down on Tuesday evening to avoid all the Thanksgiving traffic the next day. On Tuesday night, we didn't really do too much since we got in pretty late.

On Wednesday, we decided to go out to eat for breakfast and then go do a little bit of shopping. We got to go to Costco since my parent's have a membership there and we don't. I finally got some new pillows for our couches since ours were really really deformed. I just love my new pillows....they are so soft and comfortable!

Daniel with three of his nieces...they love him!

Me with my nephew Aiden!

The next day was Thanksgiving and so we all headed over there. Luckily it is only about a 20 - 25 minute drive from my parent's house. We had a delicious dinner and had a ton of fun just hanging out and chatting.

Kyra and me.

The next day, Daniel and I decided to do a little bit of shopping. But we didn't want to do the early bird and so we didn't go out until around 2ish. Then we went back to Melissa's house and hung out. Later that night on the way home we headed over to the mall with Daniel, Laura, Emily and Melissa so that we could all go to Old Navy. I think that Daniel ended up buying more than anyone else. Emily and I also introduced Laura to Aeropostale and she got some jeans. That is the ONLY place that I can buy jeans that fit me and I love them.

I just love Amy's face in the picture and how she has her hands in her pockets.

The next morning, Laura, Tara (niece) and I went over to look at some homes that they are building in my parent's neighborhood. Most of them were locked up but that was probably a good thing because we could have been there all day.

After wards, we headed over to Melissa's house for some yummy breakfast. Us girls also started discussing our girl's trip that we want to take. Since the boys went on a trip last August, we decided that we wanted to go on a trip too. So we are planning on going to New York City sometime early next year. So excited!!!

Daniel and I have an awesome time and we just love spending time with our family.
