Welcome

We set up our adoption blog so you can get to know our family a little better. I started blogging back in 2007 and have kept up with it over the years. At the end of every year, we print off our blog for that year and give it to Daniel's mom for her Christmas present. She keeps all of her children's yearly journals in a notebook that we will get back one day to pass down to our kids. I try to keep it up to date as much as I can.

When we decided to start the adoption process, I decided to make an identical blog for birth mothers to read. Everything that I write about my family on our personal blog, I copy it over to my adoption blog. I understand that an adoption profile only gives limited information about us and we want you to have the opportunity to really get to know who we are and what we like to do as a family. Our adoption blog will show you who we were even before we adopted our boys. Feel free to read as much as you want or click on the links up above!

YAY!!!

For Christmas in 2010, I received a new camera. I loved it! It took great pictures, it was easy to use and small enough to fit into a pocket. Then around 8 months later it started acting up. When I would try to turn it on, it would tell me to "replace the battery pack." Well the battery was completely full and so I would have to take out the battery or wiggle it around to get it to work. It became a real pain because try having to do that when you are trying to capture a cute moment of your child. So I finally decided I couldn't deal with it and mailed it in to get fixed. Luckily it was still under warranty!
It took about a week to mail it in and then they would have it for a week before mailing it back. Well I did this FOUR times! When I would get it back, it would work fine for the first 12 hours and then it would start messing up again. I did everything I could think of to get them to fix it correctly. I mailed in pictures, took a you tube video of what it did and wrote a good 5 paragraphs explaining the exact problem. I even talked to the supervisor at the Canon repair center and requested to have their top technician repair it. Nothing worked and no one seemed to care that I basically didn't have my camera for a good 5 months now. (luckily we do have a few other cameras in our house) Daniel has a really nice one but don't ask me to change a setting on it! All I knew how to do was turn it on and snap a picture and then download them to the computer. I was really getting to the point where I was thinking about just going out and buying a new camera just to not have to deal with this anymore.

The reason I was so frustrated was because on the repair paper I filled out, it states that if they can't fix it, they will repair it. But every time I called in, they said all I could do was mail it in again and when the technician decides he can't fix it, then I'll get a new one.

Well I finally got fed up when I got it back for the 4th time and they told me to mail it in again to get fixed! So I asked to talk to a supervisor again. This time the guy was super nice. I explained to him the problem, what I had been though and the fact that I have little kids and I just need a working camera. He finally seemed to care and told me to hold on. When he came back on, he told me that he had another guy on the phone that wanted to speak to me. This guy told me that I had been though enough with trying to get my camera repaired and told me he would replace my camera. Lets just say that I thanked him a lot and I told him how much I appreciated him helping me out (:

My camera comes in black (mine), gold and pink. He couldn't find a black and asked if I would be okay with another color. I told him noway to gold because it is just plain ugly but I would be okay with pink if it was between that or nothing. I told him my husband uses my camera and wouldn't really want to carry around a pink camera (my last camera was pink). He told me he would call me back and let me know what he found. A few hours later he told me he found a replacement. It is actually an upgrade to mine, newer and it would be blue. This camera has a few more really cool features that I really excited to test out. Moral of this story, never give up!!!
