It took about a week to mail it in and then they would have it for a week before mailing it back. Well I did this FOUR times! When I would get it back, it would work fine for the first 12 hours and then it would start messing up again. I did everything I could think of to get them to fix it correctly. I mailed in pictures, took a you tube video of what it did and wrote a good 5 paragraphs explaining the exact problem. I even talked to the supervisor at the Canon repair center and requested to have their top technician repair it. Nothing worked and no one seemed to care that I basically didn't have my camera for a good 5 months now. (luckily we do have a few other cameras in our house) Daniel has a really nice one but don't ask me to change a setting on it! All I knew how to do was turn it on and snap a picture and then download them to the computer. I was really getting to the point where I was thinking about just going out and buying a new camera just to not have to deal with this anymore.
The reason I was so frustrated was because on the repair paper I filled out, it states that if they can't fix it, they will repair it. But every time I called in, they said all I could do was mail it in again and when the technician decides he can't fix it, then I'll get a new one.
Well I finally got fed up when I got it back for the 4th time and they told me to mail it in again to get fixed! So I asked to talk to a supervisor again. This time the guy was super nice. I explained to him the problem, what I had been though and the fact that I have little kids and I just need a working camera. He finally seemed to care and told me to hold on. When he came back on, he told me that he had another guy on the phone that wanted to speak to me. This guy told me that I had been though enough with trying to get my camera repaired and told me he would replace my camera. Lets just say that I thanked him a lot and I told him how much I appreciated him helping me out (:
