Welcome

We set up our adoption blog so you can get to know our family a little better. I started blogging back in 2007 and have kept up with it over the years. At the end of every year, we print off our blog for that year and give it to Daniel's mom for her Christmas present. She keeps all of her children's yearly journals in a notebook that we will get back one day to pass down to our kids. I try to keep it up to date as much as I can.


When we decided to start the adoption process, I decided to make an identical blog for birth mothers to read. Everything that I write about my family on our personal blog, I copy it over to my adoption blog. I understand that an adoption profile only gives limited information about us and we want you to have the opportunity to really get to know who we are and what we like to do as a family. It's fun to stay at the Y.M.C.A.

I've decided to finally join a gym and I am so excited! I have tossed around the idea for some time now but I finally made the leap. I also think Carter and Talon are at an age where they will love going and getting to play with other kids and new toys. We went ahead and got the family membership for the YMCA and that means that Daniel and I can go together too. There are also no contracts so we can cancel if we need to when we adopt again or I can keep it and go in the evenings (Daniel can watch the baby). I am the most excited about the classes they offer and the weight machines. Also, there are 5 ladies that work there from my church (makes me feel more comfortable about putting my boys in the child care).

Also, we've set a date to finally get family pictures done. It won't be till March but we are long overdue. The last time we had professional pictures taken was last May and our boys weren't even walking and they were still babies. Now the shopping for what to wear begins. I found shirts for the boys and Daniel but I'm still looking for myself. I'm super excited and I'm sure it will be here before I know it.
